We feel obliged to climate- and environmental protection. Because of that to highly energy-efficient building.

To us, architecture has to be sustainable. As a matter of course design, function, ecological- and economical aspects are the main factor of a working building. Furthermore our opinion is that architcecture should only be awarded if it lasted a long time without taking any damage and it’s design has not become out of trend.

That’s why…

we have been building almost exclusively passive houses for more than 14 years.

• already in 2003 we built the first old people's home in the world as a passive house and only a few years later realized the second old people's home as a passive house (the world's first prefabricated large modular building as a passive house),

• we built the world’s smallest freestanding passive house (the smaller a house, the more difficult it is to realize a passive house),

• we built the first hospice building as a passive house,

• we have brought the largest existing building at that time to certified passive house standards (a 40-year-old school for more than 1,200 pupils, which has been awarded several times in the meantime),

• we renovated a church; the first old building with internal insulation, certified according to “Ener-PHit“ (“Passive House in Existing”). Based on the results obtained, the certification criteria for existing buildings with internal insulation are defined,

• together with the Passive House Institute (Prof. Wolfgang Feist) we have developed passive houses for different climate zones: Dubai, Las Vegas, Yekaterinburg, Shanghai and Tokyo, on behalf of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) and the French corporation St. Gobain.

• we also advise on pilot projects outside of Europe.
