Originally the little house, which´s rear gable is a part of the historic city wall, should only be re-paired. However, the building stock was so badly damaged, that nearly 90 percent of the original building stock had to be removed.
The authority for the protection of monuments requested to obtain as much as possible of the original structure. Another requirement was that the renovation of the building volume and form should exactly correspond to the previous building
