GRAMMAR SCHOOL BAESWEILER
SCHOOL BUILDING - ENERGETIC RETROFIT
World's first energy optimization of an existing building to Passivhaus standard for new buildings.
HPL panels (high-pressure laminate) were used for curtain-walls. The base of that material was recycled waste paper. The HPL panels were deliberately chosen in different sizes and shades of gray. So, it´s possible to replace these panels after years without experiencing an optical disadvantage. Intelligent solutions for minimizing the thermal bridges were necessary to achieve that goal.
