The housing complex was build in the village structure of Waurichen, Germany. on the area of an old farm.

Section

The use of an ice storage system in combination with a heat pump is making the whole system extreme energy efficiant.

In the summer, the exess energy is saved in the ice storage to use it for heating in the winter. The photovoltaics on the roof are producing more energy then the house needs. There is always enough energy to load the batteries of electric cars and bikes.
